Like many Frenchman in German-occupied Paris, butcher Edmond Batignole is struggling to make a living. He makes a little profit off the black market, deals reluctantly with the Germans and turns a blind eye to what's happening to his Jewish neighbors. When a young Jewish boy, whose family lived upstairs, arrives at his doorstep having escaped deportation, Batignole's conscience is put to the test.
A reception with dairy desserts and live entertainment featuring Makkura Jazz will immediately follow the film. Dietary laws observed.
