A panel of distinguished financial experts will address the impact of the current economic turmoil on Pittsburgh and the nation and present their expectations for 2009.

Featuring

Stuart Hoffman, Ph.D., senior vice president and chief economist for The PNC Financial Services Group. Dr. Hoffman is frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Business Week, and he is a regular guest on CNBC and CNNMoney.

Chester Spatt, Ph.D, the director of the Center for Financial Markets at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business. From 2004 to 2007, Dr. Spatt was chief economist for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Jonathan Westin, assistant director of legislative affairs for United Jewish Communities. Westin plays a leading role in devising and implementing the Jewish community's public-policy agenda in Washington.

Moderator

Geoffrey Gerber, Ph.D., who is the president and chief investment officer of Twin Capital Management and a faculty member for the Aresty Institute's Wharton Executive Education Program on Pension Funds and Investment Management at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as Chair of the United Jewish Federation Foundation Investment Committee.
