Two young women - an Orthodox Jew and a Muslim - meet and become friends as first-year teachers at a public school in Brooklyn. They soon learn that, despite their religious differences, they have much in common, not the least of which is that they are both going through arranged marriages.
"A lovely little gem of a film, beautifully shot and perfectly cast ... I can't remember the last time I screened a similarly low-budget film that pulled all the pieces together so well." Mary Glucksman, Filmmaker Magazine
Co-Director Diane Crespo will speak following the film.
Supported in part by the University of Pittsburgh, Film Studies Program.
