An hilarious black comedy from Russia, Roots is the ”heritage tour” from hell. A smooth-talking con-artist concocts a plan to reunite Jews with long lost relatives from a small Ukrainian town. The town no longer exists but that doesn’t stop anyone from buying into the hope that family might be found. An interesting commentary on what people choose to believe. Mature content.
